Validation Cycle

The validation cycle lasts for 1 week (e.g. approximate corresponding block period is ≈45,500 blocks). Only elected Lightning Oracles provide validation services, with multiple oracles ensuring data integrity. For each validation cycle, a group of validators (e.g. 3 to ∞) is elected.

• Maximum validators during the experimental phase (i.e. BETA release): ≈100 Lightning Oracles.
• Maximum number of validators in later versions: Infinite (although the gas limit on L2 suggests utilizing a limited number of validators for the early versions of the DON).
